The types of national security are:

1) public safety is the state of protection of the life, health and well–being of citizens, the spiritual and moral values of Kazakh society and the social security system from real and potential threats, which ensures the integrity of society and its stability;

2) military security is the state of protection of vital interests of a person and citizen, society and the state from external and internal threats related to the use of military force or the intention to use it.;

3) political security is the state of protection of the foundations of the constitutional system, the activities of the system of state bodies and the order of public administration from real and potential threats, which ensures respect for the rights and freedoms of citizens, social groups and the balance of their interests, stability, integrity and a favorable international position of the state.;

4) economic security is the state of protection of the national economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan from real and potential threats, which ensures its sustainable development and economic independence.;

5) information security is the state of protection of the information space of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the rights and interests of man and citizen, society and the state in the information sphere from real and potential threats, which ensures the sustainable development and information independence of the country.;

6) environmental safety is the state of protection of vital interests and rights of man and citizen, society and the state from threats arising as a result of anthropogenic and natural impacts on the environment.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 6, 2012 No. 527-IV.

This Law regulates legal relations in the field of national security of the Republic of Kazakhstan and defines the content and principles of ensuring the security of man and citizen, society and the state, the system, goals and directions of ensuring national security of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
