Article 40. Opening of the voting of the Constitutional Law on Elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan

     1. On the day of voting for the election of the President, deputies of the Mazhilis, maslikhats, akims, and members of other local government bodies, precinct election commissions must begin opening polling stations one hour before the start of voting.

     2. On the day of voting for the election of deputies of the Senate, the relevant territorial election commissions must begin opening voting stations one hour before the start of voting.

     3. Excluded by the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 04/14/2004 No. 545.

     4. Chairman of the precinct (territorial) election commission:

     1) thirty minutes before the start of voting, in the presence of the commission members, checks the ballot boxes for the presence or absence of ballots, the integrity of the ballot boxes, seals or seals the ballot boxes;

     2) determines the members of the commission responsible for issuing ballots.
