Article 44. The staff of the Prosecutor's Office of the Constitutional Law on the Prosecutor's Office

     1. The staff of the prosecutor's office consists of prosecutors and other employees.

     2. A prosecutor is a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan who serves in the system of the prosecutor's office, who has been awarded a class rank or a military rank of an officer.

     3. Other employees include administrative civil servants, enlisted and non-commissioned military personnel, and civil servants.

     4. The list of positions of the prosecutor's office system to which class ranks or military ranks are assigned, as well as the corresponding maximum class ranks or military ranks, is approved by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

     5. Prosecutors serve in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on law enforcement service with the specifics provided for by this Constitutional Law.

     6. Prosecutors of the military prosecutor's office, military personnel of ordinary and non-commissioned personnel serve in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on military service and the status of military personnel with the features provided for by this Constitutional Law, have the status and enjoy the rights and benefits established for military personnel of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

     7. Administrative civil servants of the prosecutor's office carry out their activities in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on public service.

     8. Military-liable prosecutors are specially registered with the Prosecutor's office.

     This Constitutional Law defines the competence, organization and procedure of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
