Authorized body in the field of housing relations and housing and communal services:

1) participates, within its competence, in the development and implementation of state policy in the field of electric power industry;

2) develops and approves, within its competence, regulatory and technical documentation in the field of electricity supply;

3) organizes methodological support in the field of electricity supply;

4) organizes scientific research in the field of electric power industry in terms of thermal energy consumption;

5) develops and approves standard rules for calculating utility consumption rates for electricity supply for consumers who do not have metering devices;

5-1) is excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 07/08/2024 No. 121-VIII (effective sixty calendar days after the date of its first official publication). 5-2) is excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 07/08/2024 No. 121-VIII (effective sixty calendar days after the date of its first official publication). 5-3) is excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 07/08/2024 No. 121-VIII (effective sixty calendar days after the date of its first official publication). 5-4) is excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 07/08/2024 No. 121-VIII (effective sixty calendar days after the date of its first official publication). 5-5) is excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 07/08/2024 No. 121-VIII (effective sixty calendar days after the date of its first official publication).

6) exercise other powers stipulated by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, acts of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This Law regulates public relations arising in the process of production, transmission and consumption of electric energy.
