Article 5-2. The specifics of the management of the National Railway Company and the Main railway network of the Railway Transport Act

1. Alienation of the main railway network transferred to the National Infrastructure Operator is prohibited to individuals and (or) legal entities, encumbrance of the rights of third parties.  

     2. The National Managing Holding Company is prohibited from alienating shares of a National Railway Company, as a result of which the national managing holding company will own less than seventy-five percent of the shares of this National Railway Company.

The article was amended and supplemented by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 14, 2026, No. 350-VIII SAM 

      This Law regulates public relations between carriers, participants in the transportation process, government agencies, passengers, senders, recipients, shippers, consignees, and other individuals and legal entities when transporting passengers, baggage, cargo, baggage, and mail by rail.
