Article 5. Competence of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of state regulation of the development of the agro-industrial complex and rural areas of the Law on State Regulation of the development of the Agro-industrial complex and Rural Areas
The competence of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of state regulation of the development of the agro-industrial complex and rural areas includes:
1) development of the main directions of state policy in the field of development of the agro-industrial complex and rural areas;
1-1) was valid until 31.12.2020 in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 28.11.2014 No. 257-V;
2) ensuring the implementation of a unified state policy in the field of food security;

10) approval of the scheme of optimal rural settlement in accordance with the General Scheme of organization of the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

This Law defines the legal, organizational, economic and social foundations for the implementation of state regulation of the development of the agro-industrial complex and rural areas in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
