Article 5. Goals and objectives of the State regulation of production and turnover of Petroleum Products of the Law on State Regulation of Production and Turnover of Certain Types of Petroleum Products

1. The objectives of state regulation of the production and turnover of petroleum products are to ensure the economic security of the Republic of Kazakhstan and to meet consumer demand for high-quality petroleum products that are safe for the environment and public health.

2. The objectives of state regulation of the production and turnover of petroleum products are:

1) protection of human life and health and environmental protection;

2) protection of the economic interests of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including the creation of conditions that exclude the illegal production and trafficking of petroleum products;

3) improving the quality of petroleum products produced in the Republic of Kazakhstan;

4) creation of conditions ensuring the modernization of processing capacities of producers of petroleum products.

Article 6. Competence of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan:

1) develops the main directions of state policy in the field of state regulation of production and turnover of petroleum products and organizes their implementation;

2) excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 07/10/2012 No. 36-V (effective after ten calendar days after its first official publication); 3) -12) excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 09/29/2014 No. 239-V (effective after ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication); 12-1) excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 04/19/2023 No. 223-VII (effective ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication). 12-2) excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 09/29/2014 No. 239-V (effective after ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication); 12-3) excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 09/29/2014 No. 239-V (effective after ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication); 12-4) excluded by the Law RK dated 03.12.2015 No. 432-V (effective from 01.01.2016); 12-5) is excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 04/19/2023 No. 223-VII (effective after ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication). 12-6) excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 04/03/2019 No. 243-VI (effective after ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication); 13) excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 04/19/2023 No. 223-VII (effective after ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication).

This Law regulates public relations arising in the process of production and turnover of certain types of petroleum products: gasoline, aviation and diesel fuel, fuel oil, road bitumen.
