The principles of the Assembly's activities are:

1) the priority of human and civil rights and freedoms;

2) the priority of the interests of the people and the state;

3) the inadmissibility of any discrimination based on origin, social, official and property status, gender, race, nationality, language, attitude to religion, beliefs, place of residence or any other circumstances;

4) equality and personal responsibility of the members of the Assembly for their activities;

5) publicity.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 20, 2008 No. 70-IV.

This Law defines the status, procedure for the formation and organization of the work of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan aimed at implementing state policy to ensure public harmony and national unity, increasing the effectiveness of interaction between government agencies, organizations and institutions of civil society in the field of interethnic relations.
