1. Volunteer activities are carried out in accordance with the principles:

1) gratuitousness, voluntariness, equality and legality of the activities of volunteers;

2) freedom in defining the goals, forms, types and methods, and in choosing the direction of volunteer activity established by this Law;

3) transparency and accessibility of information about volunteer activities;

4) solidarity, good faith and cooperation of persons involved in volunteer activities;

5) safety of life and health;

6) equal and mutually beneficial international cooperation in this field.

2. Volunteer activity is not a substitute for the activities of State and local government bodies in the exercise of their powers.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 30, 2016 No. 42-VI SAM.

This Law establishes the legal basis, goals and objectives, principles, forms and types, as well as measures to support volunteer activities.
