Article 5. Structure of the state system of technical regulation The Law on Technical Regulation

     The structure of the state system of technical regulation consists of:

     1) The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

     2) the authorized body, its department, territorial divisions of the department;

     3) state bodies within their competence;

     4) the accreditation body;

     5) National Standardization Body;

     6) expert councils in the field of technical regulation under government agencies (hereinafter referred to as expert councils);

     7) Information Center on Technical Barriers to Trade, Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures (hereinafter referred to as the Information Center);

     8) subjects of accreditation, including conformity assessment bodies, laboratories;

     9) expert auditors for conformity assessment and accreditation.

 

     This Law establishes the fundamental principles of technical regulation that arise when establishing and fulfilling requirements for products, related processes, and the provision of services, and also defines the legal basis for the functioning of the state system of technical regulation.
