1. The Presidium of the Bar Association is the collegial executive body of the Bar Association.

The same persons may not serve on the presidium of the Bar Association for more than two consecutive terms.

2. Presidium of the Bar Association:

1) organizes the work of the bar association to provide legal assistance to individuals and legal entities, including state-guaranteed legal assistance provided by lawyers, at the expense of budgetary funds in cases provided for by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

2) convenes a general meeting (conference) of the members of the bar association and organizes the execution of his (her) decisions;

3) protects the professional and other rights of lawyers;

4) admits members of the bar association, expels them from membership, and organizes internships for lawyers;

5) quarterly submits generalized reports of lawyers on their activities to the Republican Bar Association;

6) exempts lawyers from paying membership and target fees for the period of maternity leave or child care until they reach the age of three years and lawyers who do not practice law for more than two consecutive months due to temporary disability.;

7) organizes work to verify complaints (representations) received from individuals and legal entities about the actions (inaction) of a lawyer;

8) organizes the certification of lawyers and work to improve their qualifications;

9) submits to the licensor, in relation to the lawyer, a petition for suspension of the license to practice law or preparation of a statement of claim for termination of the license to practice law on the grounds provided for by this Law;

10) organizes work to ensure that lawyers comply with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on combating corruption, countering the legalization (laundering) of proceeds from crime, financing terrorism and financing the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction;

11) annually, based on the results of monitoring, determines the average cost of the bar association's services (by type of services) and ensures that this information is posted on the Internet resources of the Bar Association, the Republican Bar Association and published in the media;

12) analyzes, summarizes and distributes positive work experience;

13) organizes the conduct of codification and reference work, develops and publishes methodological manuals and recommendations on issues of advocacy;

14) creates legal consultations, appoints and dismisses their managers;

15) issues a lawyer's certificate, the form of which is approved by the Republican Bar Association;

16) manages the funds of the bar association in accordance with the procedure determined by the charter and the general meeting (conference) of the members of the bar association;

17) organizes accounting, financial reporting, record keeping and the formation of primary statistical data;

18) establishes the procedure for disposing of the property of the bar association;

19) resolves other issues of the activity of the bar association, except those referred to the exclusive competence of the general meeting (conference) of the members of the bar association.
