The competence of authorized bodies ensuring the safety of machinery and equipment includes:

1) formation and implementation of the state policy in the field of safety of machinery and equipment;

2) excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 11/24/2021 No. 75-VII (effective ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication).

3) representation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in international and regional organizations for conformity assessment and safety of machinery and equipment;

3-1) intersectoral coordination of the activities of government agencies that ensure the safety of machinery and equipment;

4) excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 05/24/2018 No. 156-VI (effective ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication);

5) development, approval or coordination of regulatory legal acts in the field of safety of machinery and equipment;

6) monitoring the consumer market in order to identify machinery and equipment that do not comply with the requirements of this Law and technical regulations in the field of safety of machinery and equipment, and to develop measures to prevent their implementation;

7) issuing an order on the suspension of production, sale and circulation on the market of machinery and equipment that do not meet the safety requirements established by this Law and technical regulations, with the exception of the market of agricultural machinery and equipment, an order on the suspension of production, sale and circulation of which is issued by local executive bodies;

8) excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 29, 2014 No. 269-V (effective from 01.01.2015);

9) exercise of other powers provided for by this Law, other laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, acts of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This Law regulates public relations in determining, establishing, applying and fulfilling requirements for machines and equipment, their life cycle processes, and establishes the legal basis for ensuring safety to ensure the protection of human life, health and the environment.
