State bodies within their competence:

1) consider the appeals of individuals or legal entities in the field of consumer protection;

2) apply liability measures to violators of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on consumer rights protection;

3) carry out state control over compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on consumer rights protection;

4) provide information, advice, education and improvement of legal literacy of consumers in matters of protection of their rights and legitimate interests;

5) inform consumers about goods (works, services) that pose a risk to their health and safety;

6) excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 06/25/2020 No. 346-VI (effective ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication);

7) apply to the court for the protection of the rights of an indefinite range of consumers in cases of violation of the rights of more than ten consumers on the same issue;

8) annually publish in the mass media statistical data on received complaints about violations of consumer rights, the results of their consideration and information on activities in the field of consumer protection;

9) analyze the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the need to improve it on consumer protection issues and develop draft regulatory legal acts based on the results.;

10) exercise other powers provided for by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, acts of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated May 4, 2010 No. 274-IV.

This Law defines the legal, economic and social foundations of consumer protection, as well as measures to provide consumers with safe and high-quality goods (works, services).
