Article 6. Forms of activity and decisions of the Security Council of the Law on the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. The Security Council carries out its activities in the form of meetings and operational meetings, as well as in other forms determined by the Regulations on the Security Council.
2. Meetings of the Security Council shall be held under the chairmanship of the Chairman of the Security Council or one of the members of the Security Council authorized by the Chairman. The frequency of meetings of the Security Council is determined by the President of the Security Council.
3. Meetings of the Security Council are valid if at least two thirds of its members are present. Members of the Security Council may not delegate their powers to other persons.
4. Decisions of the Security Council shall be taken by a simple majority vote of the total number of members of the Security Council present. If the votes are equal, the chairman's vote is decisive.
5. Decisions of the Security Council come into force after approval by the Chairman of the Security Council, if necessary, they are implemented by acts of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
6. Decisions of the Security Council and the Chairman of the Security Council are binding and are subject to strict execution by state bodies, organizations and officials of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
7. The procedure for organizing and holding meetings and operational meetings of the Security Council, other forms of work of the Security Council, and monitoring the implementation of Security Council decisions is determined by the Regulations on the Security Council.
This Law defines the legal status, competence and organization of activities of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
