Article 6. Powers of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the Law on State Secrets
The Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, within the limits of its powers:
1) adopts laws in the field of state secrets, introduces amendments and additions to them;
2) holds parliamentary hearings on ensuring state secrets;
3) adopts an appeal to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to dismiss a member of the Government based on the results of hearing his report on ensuring state secrets.
The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 15, 1999 N 349-1.
This Law defines the legal framework and a unified system for the protection of state secrets in the interests of ensuring the national security of the Republic of Kazakhstan, regulates public relations arising in connection with the classification of information as state secrets, their classification, disposal, protection and declassification.
