1. The State policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of state statistics is aimed at the creation, functioning, development and improvement of state statistics.

2. The state policy in the field of state statistics is based on the principles of state statistics.

3. Central and local executive bodies shall participate in the implementation of state policy in the field of state statistics within their competence defined by this Law, other laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, acts of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

4. Central and local executive bodies use official statistical information in their activities with reference to a source, collect and use other information on any socio-economic object or phenomenon only in the absence of the possibility of obtaining official statistical information on it.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 19, 2010 No. 257-IV.

This Law regulates public relations arising in the process of state statistical activity, as well as in determining the quality of administrative data, and is aimed at meeting the needs of society, the State and the international community for official statistical information.
