Article 60. Withdrawal of candidacy, cancellation of the decision to nominate a candidate for the Constitutional Law on Elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan

     1. A presidential candidate may withdraw his candidacy at any time from the date of registration and two days before voting by submitting a written application to the Central Election Commission.

     2. The supreme body of the republican public association may, at any time before and after registration, except for the last two days before voting, reverse its decision to nominate a presidential candidate by submitting a corresponding submission to the Central Election Commission.

     3. In these cases, the Central Election Commission does not register the candidate or cancels the decision on his registration.

     4. If the withdrawal of a candidate or cancellation of the decision to nominate a candidate was made without compelling circumstances, the Central Election Commission has the right to transfer to the account of the public association that nominated him a part of the expenses incurred from the republican budget for the election campaign.
