Article 66. Registration of the elected President of the Republic of the Constitutional Law on Elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan

     1. The Central Election Commission, based on the protocols of the territorial election commissions, shall register the elected President of the Republic within seven days from the date of the election.

     2. The Central Election Commission, upon the submission of the relevant election commissions, upon the appeals of citizens, may refuse to register the elected President if at least one-fourth of the total number of precincts or administrative-territorial units:

     1) the election was declared invalid;

     2) or if there have been violations of this Constitutional Law during their voting or during the counting of votes or the determination of voting results.

     3. A decision of the Central Election Commission adopted in accordance with the procedure provided for in paragraph 2 of this Article may be appealed by a presidential candidate to the Supreme Court within ten days from the date of its adoption, which shall make a final decision within ten days.
