1. The Presidium of the Republican Bar Association is the collegial executive body of the Republican Bar Association.

2. The Presidium of the Republican Bar Association is elected by secret ballot for a four-year term and consists of an equal number of lawyers from each bar association.

One and the same person may not be a member of the Presidium of the Republican Bar Association for more than one term.

3. The Presidium:

1) organizes the work of the Republican Bar Association;

2) organizes the execution of decisions of the Republican Conference of Bar Associations;

3) in the period between conferences, decides on the early termination of the powers of members of the Presidium and the audit Commission who were excluded from the bar associations on the grounds provided for by this Law.;

4) develops documents to be approved by the Republican Conference of Bar Associations in accordance with Article 67 of this Law;

5) coordinates the activities of the bar associations;

6) submit to the authorized body statistical information on the legal assistance provided by lawyers in a form approved by the authorized body.;

7) organizes work to improve the professional level of lawyers, develops a unified methodology for the professional training of lawyers;

8) protects the social and professional rights of lawyers;

9) participates in the examination of draft regulatory legal acts on issues related to advocacy, in cases and in accordance with the procedure provided for by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

10) summarizes quarterly reports of bar associations on their activities;

11) organizes methodological support on issues of advocacy;

12) organizes information support for bar associations;

13) annually, based on the results of monitoring, determines the average cost of bar association services (by type of services) and ensures that this information is posted on the Internet resource of the Republican Bar Association and published in the media;

14) places it on the Internet resource of the Republican Bar Association:

the list of lawyers engaged in advocacy, as well as the lists of lawyers of territorial bar associations, is up to date;

regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan concerning advocacy and legal assistance;

Code of Professional Ethics for Lawyers;

legal aid standards;

quality criteria for legal aid;

professional development standards;

a report on the financial and economic activities of the Republican Bar Association, including information on all receipts and expenses for each specific area separately;

information on the composition of the Presidium of the bar associations and the Republican Bar Association;

information about the provision of comprehensive social legal assistance;

the results of the work of the disciplinary commission of the bar;

activities and events of the legal profession;

and other necessary information about the activities of the Republican Bar Association.

The Republican Bar Association should provide ways for members of the bar associations to receive information.;

15) convenes at least once every two years the Republican Conference of Bar Associations, forms its agenda;

16), within the limits of its competence, disposes of the property of the Republican Bar Association in accordance with the budget and the purpose of the property.;

17) approves the regulations of the Presidium of the Republican Bar Association;

18) approves the emblem of the Republican Bar Association;

18-1) approves standards for the provision of legal assistance in coordination with the authorized body;

18-2) approves the quality criteria for providing legal assistance in consultation with the authorized body.;

18-3) approves the form and description of the lawyer's robe;

18-4) develops and approves the form of the lawyer's certificate and the procedure for filling it out;

18-5) approves the regulations on the procedure for internships for interns of lawyers in coordination with the authorized body.;

18-6) Approves standards for advanced training of lawyers in coordination with the authorized body.;

18-7) approves the procedure for professional development of lawyers;

18-8) approves the form, procedure for processing and sending a lawyer's request in coordination with the authorized body.;

18-9) approves the regulations on the disciplinary commission of lawyers;

18-10) approves the regulations on the Disciplinary Commission of the Bar;

18-11) develops and approves methodological recommendations on countering the legalization (laundering) of proceeds from crime, the financing of terrorism and the financing of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction for lawyers, taking into account the specifics and specifics of their activities;

18-12) conducts, within its competence, analysis and monitoring of the activities of lawyers in order to identify the risks of the legalization (laundering) of proceeds from crime, the financing of terrorism and the financing of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, summarizes the practice of applying the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on countering the legalization (laundering) of proceeds from crime, financing of terrorism and financing the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and makes proposals for its improvement with the annual provision of such information to the authorized financial monitoring body in the form and within the time limits established by the authorized financial monitoring body.;

19) performs other functions stipulated by the charter of the Republican Bar Association.

4. At the request of the audit Commission or at least one third of the total number of bar associations, the Presidium of the Republican Bar Association is obliged to convene an extraordinary Republican conference within two months.

5. Decisions of the Presidium are made by a simple majority of votes of the total number of members present at its meeting.
