1. The "tourist fee for foreign citizens" is a payment levied from tourists for every day they stay in tourist accommodation, with the exception of hostels, guest houses, and rental housing in cities and districts.

2. Operators of the tourist fee for foreign citizens" are recognized as persons providing tourist accommodation, with the exception of tourist accommodation provided for in paragraph 1 of this article.

Operators of tourist fees for foreign citizens are "required to collect and transfer tourist fees for foreign citizens" to the local budget.

This Law defines the legal, economic, social, and organizational foundations of tourism activity as one of the sectors of the economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
