Article 7. Competence of internal affairs bodies of the Law On Prevention of Offenses
Internal affairs agencies:
1) excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 07/03/2013 No. 124-V (effective after ten calendar days after its first official publication);
1-1) is excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 13.06.2013 No. 102-V (effective after ten calendar days after its first official publication).
2) excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 13, 2014 No. 159-V (effective ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication);
3) take part in the legal education of citizens, study public opinion on the state of law and order and measures to improve the effectiveness of law enforcement agencies for the prevention of offenses;
4) implement measures to prevent offenses;
5) keep preventive records and carry out preventive control;
6) interact with citizens and organizations involved in the protection of public order and the prevention of offenses;
7) interact with the subjects of security activities;
8) inform other law enforcement agencies about the facts of upcoming or committed offenses that have become known to them, attributed to the competence of these bodies.;
9) carry out criminal prosecution, probation control, and proceedings on administrative offenses;
10) ensure the organization of special training courses on crime prevention for law enforcement officers;
11) excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 13, 2014 No. 159-V (effective ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication);
11-1) ensure the implementation of preventive and operational investigative measures in order to prevent the commission of offenses by convicts held in institutions of the penal correction system and registered with probation services, as well as by persons held in pre-trial detention facilities of the penal correction system;
11-2) carry out educational influence on convicts in accordance with the Penal Enforcement Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
12) exercise other powers provided for by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 29, 2010 No. 271-IV.
This Law defines the legal, economic, social and organizational bases of the activities of state bodies, local governments, organizations and citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the prevention of offenses.
