Article 7. Competence of the authorized body of the Law on Lotteries and Lottery Activities
Authorized body:
1) formulates and implements state policy in the field of lottery and lottery activities;
1-1) determines the lottery operator and the deadline for granting him the right to conduct the lottery;
2) carries out state control over compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on lotteries and lottery activities, as well as over compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on countering the legalization (laundering) of proceeds from crime, financing terrorism and financing the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction;
3) develops and, together with the authorized business body, approves risk assessment criteria and checklists in accordance with the Business Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
3-1) develops and approves lottery rules;
3-2) develops and approves regulatory legal acts in the field of lottery and lottery activities in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
4) exercise other powers provided for by this Law, other laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, acts of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
