1. President of the Republic of Kazakhstan:

1) form and reorganize the Assembly;

2) determines the directions of the Assembly's activities;

3) appoints and dismisses senior officials of the Assembly;

3-1) appoints five deputies of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the proposal of the Council of the Assembly.;

4) Convenes a Session of the Assembly;

5) carries out other activities in accordance with the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2. The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan is the Chairman of the Assembly.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 20, 2008 No. 70-IV.

This Law defines the status, procedure for the formation and organization of the work of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan aimed at implementing state policy to ensure public harmony and national unity, increasing the effectiveness of interaction between government agencies, organizations and institutions of civil society in the field of interethnic relations.
