Article 7. Peculiarities of import into the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan and export from the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan of refined precious metals, precious metals, precious stones, raw materials containing precious metals, jewelry and other products The Law on Precious Metals and Precious Stones

1. When precious metals and raw materials containing precious metals are imported into the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan from countries outside the Eurasian Economic Union and exported from the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan to these countries, the authorized body, in case of non-compliance of documents on the content of precious metals with the terms of the contract and regulatory technical documentation, sends an application to the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the implementation of control tests of samples (samples) of precious metals and raw materials containing precious metals.

2. When precious stones, jewelry and other items are imported into the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan from countries outside the Eurasian Economic Union, an examination and state control are carried out before customs operations related to customs declaration and customs clearance, except in cases established by the decision of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

3. When exporting precious stones, jewelry and other items from the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan to countries outside the Eurasian Economic Union, an examination is carried out and state control is carried out.

4. In order to import into and export from the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan refined precious metals, precious metals and precious stones, jewelry and other products, raw materials containing precious metals, individual entrepreneurs and legal entities are required to notify the authorized body about the beginning or termination of their activities in accordance with the procedure established by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Permits and notifications."

The requirement of this paragraph does not apply to the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

5. The import into the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan and export from the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan of rough natural diamonds are carried out in accordance with the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme.

This Law regulates public relations arising in the sphere of production of precious metals and turnover of precious metals and precious stones, raw materials containing precious metals, jewelry and other products made of precious metals and precious stones.
