Article 77. Maternity leave, vacations for employees who have adopted or adopted a newborn child (children), unpaid leave to care for a child until they reach the age of three The Law on Law Enforcement Service
1. Maternity leave, vacations for employees who have adopted or adopted a newborn child (children), and unpaid leave to care for a child until the child reaches the age of three years are granted to employees in excess of paid annual leave.
2. The duration, conditions for the provision and payment of maternity and maternity leave, leave for employees who have adopted or adopted a newborn child (children), leave without pay to care for a child until he reaches the age of three years are established in accordance with the procedure determined by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
3. For the period of stay on maternity leave, leave for the adoption of a newborn child (children), leave without pay to care for a child until he reaches the age of three years, an employee is enrolled in the personnel of the relevant body or institution. During maternity leave, leave for the adoption of a newborn child (children), leave without pay to care for a child until he reaches the age of three, the employee retains his last place of work (position).
The time spent by an employee on maternity leave, leave for the adoption of a newborn child (children), leave without pay to care for a child until he reaches the age of three years is counted in the length of law enforcement service, seniority for awarding a special rank or class rank.
If organizational and staff measures are carried out in a law enforcement agency with a reduction or transformation of the position held, the employee is given the opportunity to fill another vacant position, but not lower than the previously held one, in the same area, subject to compliance with the qualification requirements.

This Law regulates public relations related to admission to the law enforcement service of the Republic of Kazakhstan, its passage and termination, and also defines the legal status (status), financial support and social protection of law enforcement officers of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
