Article 77. The procedure for holding a joint meeting of electors for the election of deputies of the Senate of the Constitutional Law on Elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. The election of deputies of the Senate shall be held at a joint meeting of the electors.
2. A joint meeting is valid if it is attended by more than fifty percent of the number of elected deputies representing all maslikhats of the region, maslikhat of the city of republican significance or the capital of the Republic, respectively.
3. Voting on the election of a deputy of the Senate at a joint meeting is considered to have taken place if more than fifty percent of the electors present took part in it.
4. The chairman of the joint meeting is the chairman of the regional, city (city of republican significance and the capital of the Republic) maslikhat, respectively.
5. The chairman and members of the regional and city (cities of republican significance and the capital of the Republic) election commissions, respectively, are present at the joint meeting of the electors.
6. A voting station for the election of a deputy of the Senate is organized in the premises where a joint meeting of the electors is held by the regional, city (city of republican significance and the capital of the Republic) election commission, respectively.
7. The document certifying the holding of a joint meeting on the election of deputies of the Senate is the minutes of the joint meeting, submitted by the chairman of the relevant maslikhat, respectively, to the regional, city (city of republican significance and the capital of the Republic) election commission.
8. The joint meeting is closed after the chairman of the regional, city (city of republican significance and the capital of the Republic) election commission announces the results of voting on the election of a deputy of the Senate, respectively.
