1. Authorized body:

1) formulates and implements the state policy in the field of gambling business;

2) monitors compliance by gambling business organizers with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on gambling, as well as compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on countering the legalization (laundering) of proceeds from crime and the financing of terrorism;

3) excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 13, 2014 No. 159-V (effective ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication);

4) excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 07/08/2024 No. 116-VIII (effective sixty calendar days after the date of its first official publication).

4-1) develops and approves the rules for the functioning of the unified accounting system and the transfer of information contained in the unified accounting system to other persons in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

4-2) develops and approves the rules for determining a legal entity that ensures the functioning of the unified accounting system and the qualification requirements imposed on it in coordination with the authorized body responsible for competition protection and restriction of monopolistic activities, the authorized body in the field of informatization and the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan.;

4-3) sets the amount of the commission charged by the legal entity that ensures the functioning of the unified accounting system for the payment of winnings to betting participants in coordination with the authorized body responsible for the protection of competition and the restriction of monopolistic activities.;

4-4) determines the term of cooperation with the legal entity that ensures the functioning of the unified accounting system, the conditions for its prolongation or termination;

5) issues licenses for the right to engage in activities in the field of gambling in the Republic of Kazakhstan;

5-1) determines the legal entity that ensures the functioning of the unified accounting system in accordance with the approved rules and qualification requirements;

6) maintains the licensor's electronic register;

7) excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 29, 2014 No. 269-V (effective from 01.01.2015);

7-1) collects and analyzes reports submitted by the gambling business organizer;

7-2) is excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 07/08/2024 No. 116-VIII (effective sixty calendar days after the date of its first official publication).

7-3) carries out systematic collection of information and analysis of the content of Internet resources for signs of online casinos, foreign bookmakers and (or) sweepstakes that do not have licenses for the right to engage in activities in the field of gambling in the Republic of Kazakhstan, in accordance with the procedure determined by it.;

7-4) maintains a register of betting shops and betting shops;

7-5) develops and approves regulatory legal acts in the field of gambling business in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

7-6) maintains a list of persons who are restricted from participating in gambling and/or betting;

8) exercise other powers provided for by this Law, other laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, acts of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2. Other state bodies carry out state regulation of activities in the field of gambling within the limits of their competence established by legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
