Article 8. Duties of the State Security Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan Chapter 3. Duties and rights of the State Security Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the Law on the State Security Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan

State Security Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan:

1) to commit and suppress offenses that infringe on the life, health, right, freedom, honor, wealth and property of protected persons; to commit actions that contribute to the greatest possible perfection, and to take measures to the utmost of their right to great comfort;

2) to provide assistance to protected persons who have suffered from offenses and accidents, as well as those who are in a homeless or other condition dangerous to their health and life. Participate in representing their competence in resolving organizational issues related to the medical care of protected persons;

3) to make judgments, reports and other outgoing information about impending offenses and events that give rise to personal safety of protected persons or public safety at protected facilities and other places of residence, and to take timely measures provided for by law;

4) to assist law enforcement agencies in identifying and improving the skills of persons who have committed criminal offenses against the life, health, rights, freedoms, honor, prosperity and property of protected persons;

5) to ensure public order and security at protected facilities and in other places of residence of protected persons;

6) to ensure the safety of movement of protected persons on all types of transport, to observe and monitor compliance with the established rules, norms and standards in force in the field of traffic safety of motor vehicles and other vehicles allocated for the movement of protected persons;

8) organize the provision of communications for the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and other protected persons, the security of the presidential communications system, as well as a set of measures to prevent major information isolation.

The procedure for organizing interaction to ensure presidential communications is determined by joint regulatory legal acts of the State Security Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan and government agencies.

The procedure for organizing cooperation on providing presidential communications to the State Security Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan and other organizations is determined by agreements (contracts);

9) to accept, in accordance with the established procedure, citizens, enterprises, organizations and institutions who are involved in the use of other means of communication, transport and premises for official purposes;
