Article 8. Independence of a judicial expert The Law on Judicial Expertise
1. When conducting a forensic examination, the judicial expert is independent from the body (person) who appointed the forensic examination, the head of the forensic examination body and other persons.
2. The forensic expert gives an opinion on his behalf based on the results of the conducted research in accordance with his special scientific knowledge.
3. The judicial expert is independent in the choice of scientific and technical means, methods and research methods, the admissibility of which is determined by law.
4. Undue influence on a judicial expert and obstruction of his lawful activities are unacceptable and entail liability established by law.
This Law regulates public relations in the implementation of forensic expertise in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
