1. A military servicemember shall not have the right to:

1) be a deputy of representative bodies or a member of local self‑government bodies, to be a member of political parties, trade unions, or religious associations, or to express support for or condemnation of any political party or socio‑political movement;

2) engage in any other paid activity other than medical, teaching, scientific, or creative work that does not interfere with the performance of military service duties;

3) engage in entrepreneurial activity.

3-1) to participate in the management of a commercial or non‑commercial organization, except in cases where this is part of their official duties under the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, or is necessary for managing the shares specified in subparagraph 3‑2) of this clause, or constitutes participation on a gratuitous basis in the management of a consumer or housing construction cooperative.

3-2) to purchase securities, with the exception of acquiring and (or) selling, in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, units of open and interval mutual investment funds, bonds, and shares of commercial organizations (common shares in an amount not exceeding five percent of the total number of voting shares of the organizations);

4) to act as a representative in matters concerning third parties, except in cases provided for by law.

5) to use military property and other means of supporting his official activities, other state property, and official information for non‑official purposes;

6) to organize and participate in strikes, picketing, and other protest actions;

7) to use his official position for personal gain, including through collusion with officials and other persons.

9) to refuse or evade undergoing a medical examination in medical organizations to establish the fact of the use of a psychoactive substance and the state of intoxication, as directed by an authorized superviso

Refusal or evasion of undergoing an examination entails dismissal from military service.

2. Anti‑corruption restrictions applicable to military personnel are established by this Law and the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Combating Corruption”.

The anti‑corruption restrictions adopted by political public officials are established by this Law and other laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

 . The liability for non‑compliance with the restrictions provided for in this articticle is established by this Law and other laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This Law regulates public relations in the field of military service by citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan and defines the foundations of the state policy on social security for military personnel.
