1. Asylum seekers have the right to:

1) receiving free translation services and receiving information about the procedure for granting refugee status, their rights and obligations;

2) Excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 05/16/2024 No. 82-VIII (effective ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication).

3) withdrawal of the application for refugee status;

4) appeal against the decision of the local executive body of the region, the city of republican significance and the capital on the refusal to grant refugee status;

5) stay in the Republic of Kazakhstan for a period until the end of the decision-making procedure on the application for refugee status, including the time limits for appeal;

6) voluntary return to the country of origin or relocation to any third country;

7) medical care in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of healthcare;

8) freedom of labor or entrepreneurial activity in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

9) judicial protection of property and personal non-property

good and right.

2. Asylum seekers must:

1) provide reliable information necessary for making a decision on granting refugee status;

2) undergo a mandatory medical examination within the time limits and in accordance with the procedure established by the authorized body in the field of healthcare;

3) comply with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

4) inform the local executive body of the region, the city of republican significance and the capital about the intention to leave the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

5) when changing the place of stay in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, withdraw from the register of the local executive body of the region, the city of republican significance and the capital at the previous place of stay and register with the local executive body of the region, the city of republican significance and the capital at the new place of stay within five working days from the date of arrival, as well as in accordance with the legislation The Republic of Kazakhstan's registration procedure at the place of stay;

6) undergo fingerprint registration in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

3. Asylum seekers have other rights and freedoms, as well as bear all duties established by the Constitution, laws and international treaties of the Republic of Kazakhstan for foreigners and stateless persons.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 4, 2009 No. 216-IV.

This Law defines the legal status of asylum seekers and refugees in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
