Article 8. State control and supervision of food safety of the Food Safety Act
1. State control and supervision of food safety is carried out by authorized bodies within their competence, established by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in accordance with the provisions of the Entrepreneurial Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
2. In order to carry out state control and supervision of food safety, the State ensures the organization of state laboratories for veterinary and sanitary and epidemiological expertise, including laboratories for determining the qualitative and quantitative composition of the content of genetically modified objects and the level of radiation exposure, in accordance with international requirements for their material and technical base and personnel.
The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 21, 2007 No. 301.
This Law establishes the legal basis for ensuring food safety to protect human life and health, the legitimate interests of consumers and environmental protection in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
