Article 8. Status of civil servants and their legal guarantees The Law on the Civil Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan
The status of a civil servant includes the general rights, freedoms and duties of a civil servant as a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan with restrictions established by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan related to public service, as well as the rights, duties and responsibilities due to the specifics of public service.
Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan acquire the status of a civil servant from the moment of appointment or election to a public position and lose it from the moment of termination of public service in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of public service.
