1. Road transportation is divided into transportation:

1) passengers and baggage;

2) cargo;

3) postal items.

2. According to the types of communication, the transportation of passengers and baggage is divided into:

1) international - transportation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and foreign countries or transit through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

2) intra-republican - transportation between settlements located on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

3. Excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 04/19/2019 No. 249-VI (effective ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication).

4. According to the administrative-territorial basis, intra-republican transportation of passengers and baggage is divided into:

1) urban (rural) – transportation within the established boundaries of a locality;

2) suburban – transportation along routes connecting a locality with a suburban area of up to fifty kilometers, measured from the established boundaries of the locality;

3) intra–district - transportation between settlements within the same district;

4) interdistrict (intercity intra–regional) - transportation within the same region, carried out between settlements located in different areas, or connecting settlements with cities of regional significance;

5) intercity interregional – transportation carried out between settlements located in different regions, or connecting settlements with cities of national significance, the capital.

5. By the nature of the organization, automobile transportation of passengers and luggage is divided into regular, irregular and taxi transportation.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 4, 2003 No. 476.

This Law regulates the relations that arise between carriers, passengers, shippers, consignees, and other individuals and legal entities in the field of road transport.
