Article 9-1. Accreditation of educational organizations The Law on Education

     1. The accreditation of an educational organization is carried out on a voluntary basis.

     The educational organization is independent in choosing the accreditation body.

     2. The decision to carry out accreditation or to refuse to carry out accreditation is made by the accreditation body based on the results of consideration of applications by the educational organization and submitted documents, the list of which is determined by the accreditation body.

     The terms and conditions of accreditation are defined in the accreditation agreement between the educational organization and the accreditation body.

The graduation of pupils who have reached the age of six is carried out by a preschool organization in the period from June 1 to August 1 annually after they master the general education curriculum for pre-school education, with the exception of children with disabilities, in accordance with the recommendations of the psychological, medical and pedagogical consultation.

     3. Excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 07/04/2018 No. 171-VI (effective ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication).  

     4. The accreditation of an educational organization is carried out at the expense of the educational organization.

     5. Educational organizations have the right to undergo institutional and/or specialized (programmatic) accreditation with accreditation bodies included in the register of recognized accreditation bodies.

     6. Excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 07/04/2018 No. 171-VI (effective ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication).       

7. Branches of foreign organizations of higher and (or) postgraduate education, foreign educational institutions, within one year from the moment of their establishment, are accredited by foreign accreditation bodies that accredited the parent organizations of higher and (or) postgraduate education.

     If the accreditation by a foreign accreditation body is not provided for by the legislation of the country of registration of the parent organization of higher and (or) postgraduate education, then the accreditation is carried out by an international accreditation body recognized for the accreditation of branches of foreign organizations of higher and (or) postgraduate education and foreign educational institutions.

     The criteria for recognition of international accreditation bodies for the accreditation of branches of foreign organizations of higher and (or) postgraduate education and foreign educational institutions are established in the requirements and rules for recognition, inclusion and exclusion from the register of recognized accreditation bodies, including foreign ones, in the field of higher and postgraduate education.

     Branches of foreign organizations of higher and (or) postgraduate education and foreign accredited educational institutions are included in the register of accredited organizations of higher and (or) postgraduate education. 

 

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 27, 2007 No. 319-III.

This Law regulates public relations in the field of education, defines the basic principles of state policy in this field and is aimed at ensuring the constitutional right of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as foreigners and stateless persons permanently residing in the Republic of Kazakhstan, to education.
