Local executive bodies of regions, cities of republican significance and the capital within their competence:

1) take measures to prevent human trafficking;

2) participate in the assessment of risks in the field of combating human trafficking and in making proposals to minimize them in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

3) participate in redirecting victims of human trafficking to provide them with assistance and special social services in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

4) organize training, retraining and advanced training of employees of subjects of combating human trafficking;

5) organize work with non-profit organizations to combat human trafficking, including by placing a state social order;

6) send a petition to the internal affairs bodies for obtaining a temporary residence permit for foreigners and stateless persons identified and identified as victims of human trafficking in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan for a period of up to six months with the possibility of extension, but not more than three months, to receive special social services in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

7) exercise, in the interests of local government, other powers assigned to local executive bodies by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This Law defines the organizational and legal framework for combating human trafficking.
