1. The territorial bodies of the National Security Committee for the capital, regions and cities of republican significance and their subordinate city and district administrations (departments, branches) are established to implement the tasks assigned to the national security bodies in the relevant territory.

2. The territorial bodies of the National Security Committee in the capital, regions and cities of republican significance are legal entities, have valid and conditional names, seals and stamps, accounts, fixed assets, social, cultural and medical facilities.

3. In operational and official activities, the territorial bodies of the National Security Committee are independent of local representative and executive bodies and their officials.

This Law defines the status, powers and organization of activities of the national security bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
