1. On the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, units of the International System of Units adopted by the General Conference on Weights and Measures and recommended by the International Organization of Legislative Metrology are allowed to be used in accordance with the procedure established by the authorized body.

By decision of the authorized body, units of quantities that are not included in the International System of Units are allowed to be used.

2. The characteristics and parameters of products exported, including measuring instruments, may be expressed in units of quantities specified by the customer.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated June 7, 2000 No. 53-II.

This Law regulates public relations that arise between government agencies, individuals and legal entities in the field of ensuring the uniformity of measurements, defines its goals, legal and organizational bases for ensuring the uniformity of measurements.
