Commentary to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated August 25, 2015 No. 73 "On Amendments to certain Decrees of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan"

Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Amendments to certain Decrees of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan" dated August 25, 2015 No. 73 is aimed at updating the current Forecast Scheme of the country's spatial development until 2020, taking into account the new priorities outlined by the Head of State in the Strategy "Kazakhstan-2050" and the Concept of becoming one of the 30 most developed states of the world.

     In particular, the structure and format of the Forecast Scheme have been revised, and a new approach to the classification of regions based on criteria of economic specialization, settlement system, and the nature of market relations has been defined.

     According to the changes, the Forecast Scheme is a conceptual document reflecting the overall vision of regional development until 2020.

     The implementation of the Forecast Scheme will be carried out through the lower-level documents of the State Planning System.
