SAFETY AND HEALTH INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE WEIGHER
1. General safety requirements 1.1. Men and women who are at least 18 years old are allowed to work as a weigher. 1.2. Persons who have completed introductory instruction on fire safety, techniques and methods of providing pre-medical care to victims are allowed to work independently. They must be familiar with the working conditions and rules of conduct in case of accidents.. 1.3. During work, an employee may be affected by dangerous and harmful production factors (moving machines and mechanisms, products being moved, cargo flowability, low air temperature in the work area; insufficient illumination of the work area; increased dustiness and gas contamination of the air.) 1.4. The weigher must comply with the safety requirements set out in this
instructions, internal labor regulations, and requirements prohibiting smoking outside designated areas and drinking alcoholic beverages. 1.5. In case of equipment malfunction or injury to people, it is necessary to immediately notify the plant director of the incident and provide first aid to the victim, which each employee must be able to provide. 1.6. For violations of the safety requirements of these instructions, the weigher bears full responsibility in accordance with the current Legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 2. Safety precautions before starting work. 2.1. Prepare the workplace for safe operation (wipe the equipment from dust, remove foreign objects, prepare everything necessary). 2.2. Check the serviceability of the scales and other equipment used. 3. Safety precautions during work. 3.1. Keep a safe distance from maneuvering electric and motor vehicles. 3.2. Be careful when in the places of loading and unloading operations. 3.3. Avoid accumulation of goods near the scales. 3.4. Ensure that the equipment is in good working order and that it is not damaged. 3.5. Make sure that no cargo opening, packing (unpacking) of cargo, etc. is carried out on the loading area of the scales. 4. Safety requirements at the end of work 4.1. Turn off the equipment. 4.2. To put the workplace in order. 4.3. Inform the management of any malfunctions noticed during operation. 5. Safety precautions in emergency situations 5.1. If equipment malfunctions are detected or an emergency situation is created, or a fire hazard occurs during work, the weigher must: - stop working; - turn off the power; - inform the management or the electrician on duty about the emergency; - in case of fire, take
fire extinguishing measures with primary fire extinguishing equipment in accordance with the fire safety instructions. 5.2. In case of fire or fire, it should be remembered that electrical installations should be extinguished with acid or powder fire extinguishers, as well as with dry sand in order to avoid electric shock.
