INSTRUCTIONS ON OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH FOR NURSES
1.General safety requirements
1.1. Persons who have passed a medical examination and instruction on occupational safety at the workplace are allowed to work as a nurse.
1.2. The nurse must be provided with overalls, PPE, according to the standard norms for the free issuance of overalls and safety shoes. 1.3. The nurse must comply with: -internal regulations; -fire safety regulations; -work and rest regime. 1.4. When working for a nurse, the following dangerous factors may be affected: - thermal burns if the alcohol lamp is used carelessly; -chemical burns if acid or alkali solutions get on the skin or eyes.; - hand cuts. 1.5. Follow the rules of personal hygiene.
1.4. Use as intended and treat the issued PPE carefully.
2. Safety requirements before starting work
2.1. Properly wear clean, serviceable work clothes and safety shoes. Workwear should not have developing ends, sleeves and collars should be tied.

3. Safety requirements during operation
3.1. Be attentive, not distracted by extraneous matters, conversations.
3.2. The office premises should be kept immaculately clean.
3.3. To monitor the integrity of glass appliances and dishes, it is forbidden to wash them if their integrity is violated.
3.4. When operating devices and apparatuses, it is necessary to strictly follow the rules (instructions) set out in the technical data sheet attached to the devices and equipment.
3.5. When the power supply is cut off, all appliances must be switched off.
3.6. When working with a solution of chloramine, bleach, use rubber gloves.

3.7. When washing dishes from acids and alkalis, wear protective rubber gloves.
3.8. When working with electrical appliances: do not work with faulty electrical appliances; do not repair faulty appliances; do not turn on or off electrical appliances with wet hands;
4. Safety requirements in emergency situations In case of chemical burns, the affected area must be rinsed with plenty of running cold water from a tap or bucket for 15-20 minutes. In case of a chemical burn, it is not possible to completely wash off the chemicals with water. Therefore, after washing, the affected area must be treated with a solution of baking soda (a teaspoon of baking soda per glass of water). If splashes of alkali or vapors get into the eyes and mouth, it is necessary to rinse the affected areas with plenty of water, and then with a solution of boric acid (half a teaspoon of acid per glass of water). After treatment, call an ambulance.
5.Safety requirements at the end of the work
5.1. Go around your site, check the cleanliness and order.
5.2. Put work clothes in a separate locker.
5.3.Wash your face and hands with warm water and soap.
