Issues of organization of the unified system of state regulation of the financial market of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated May 17, 2002 No. 872

  In accordance with subparagraph 3) Article 44 of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, subparagraph 1) paragraph 2 of Article 17-1 of the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 26, 1995 "On the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan", paragraph 2 of Article 22 of the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 18, 1995 "On the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan", in order to organize a unified system of state regulation of the financial market of the Republic of Kazakhstan, to increase the effectiveness of supervision of the emerging markets relationships, as well as optimizing the activities of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan

I decree:      

1. Reorganize The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan through the transfer of functions and powers to regulate the activities of accumulative pension funds to the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan.      

2. The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan: 1) to abolish the Committee for Regulating the Activities of Accumulative Pension Funds of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan and ensure the transfer of its property to the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan within one month; 2) to bring previously issued acts of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan in accordance with this Decree; 3) jointly with the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan take other necessary measures resulting from this Decree.      

3. (Paragraph 3 became invalid by Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 31, 2003 No. 1271 (effective January 1, 2004)      

4. Control over the implementation of this Decree is entrusted to the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.      

5. This Decree comes into force from the date of signing.
