On the establishment of the National Depository of Mass Archaeological Finds and Archaeological Materials

Resolution No. 159 of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 11, 2026

In accordance with paragraph 2 of Article 34-3 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On the Protection and Use of Historical and Cultural Heritage Sites,” the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan RESOLVES:

1. Designate the republican state enterprise on the right of economic management, “A.Kh. Margulan Institute of Archaeology” of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as the National Depository of Mass Archaeological Finds and Archaeological Materials.

2. The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, shall take measures in accordance with the established legislation to implement the provisions of this resolution.

3. This resolution shall enter into force on the date of its signing.
