On the definition of the structural unit of the republican state enterprise on the right of economic management “A.Kh. Margulan Institute of Archaeology” of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan by the National Archaeological Service
Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 15, 2026, No. 277
In accordance with Article 34-1 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On the Protection and Use of Historical and Cultural Heritage Sites,” the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan DECIDES:
1. Define the National Archaeological Service (hereinafter referred to as the National Archaeological Service) as a structural unit of the republican state enterprise under the right of economic management, “A.Kh. Margulan Institute of Archaeology” of the Committee of Science of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
2. Assign the National Archaeological Service the following functions:
1) monitoring archaeological work;2) providing scientific and methodological support for archaeological work;3)...the maintenance of a unified automated information system for archaeological work in accordance with the procedure determined by the authorized body;
4) the collection, analysis and systematization of reports on the results of archaeological work;
5) the performance of other functions determined by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
3. The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, shall take the necessary measures arising from this resolution in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
4. This resolution shall come into force on the date of its signing.
