On measures to improve the military education system

Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated August 21, 2003 No. 1173.

I decree:

    1. Reorganize the state institution "Military Academy of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan" into the state institution "National Defense University". U973353

    2. The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan:

    1) rename the state institution "Almaty Higher Military College of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan" to the state institution "Military Institute of the Ground Forces";

    2) ensure the state re-registration of the above-mentioned state institutions in the judicial authorities;

    3) to establish that financing and logistical support for the activities of the above-mentioned state institutions are carried out at the expense and within the limits of the funds provided for in the republican budget to the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

    4) within two months, make appropriate amendments to the regulations on state educational institutions specified in paragraph 1 and subparagraph 1) of paragraph 2 of this Decree.;

    5) take other measures resulting from this Decree.

    3. To make the following amendment to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated February 27, 2002 No. 815 "On the reorganization of the State institution "Military Academy of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan":

    In the second paragraph of paragraph 2, the words "and medium military-special" should be deleted.

    4. This Decree comes into force from the date of signing.
