On measures to establish and ensure the activities of the joint-stock company "Foundation for the Spiritual Development of the People of Kazakhstan"

Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 1, 2008 No. 703

To be published in the Acts of the President and Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan    

     In order to preserve cultural values and develop traditions of the people of Kazakhstan

I DECREE:      

1. To liquidate the state institution "State Fund for Support of Culture and Art in the Republic of Kazakhstan".      

2. The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in accordance with the procedure established by law: 1) to establish a joint-stock company "Fund for the Spiritual Development of the People of Kazakhstan" (hereinafter - the Company) with the full participation of the state in its authorized capital; 2) determine the main subjects of the Company's activities: regular monitoring and support for the development of cultural values and traditions of the people of Kazakhstan; implementation of breakthrough projects to develop and deepen the integration of Kazakh culture into the global cultural space;      research and substantiation of the identification of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the world cultural space; analysis and provision of projects in the field of culture and art; assistance to the spiritual enrichment of the national cultures of the people of Kazakhstan and their participation in international cultural exchange; facilitating the organization and holding of annual viewing contests, festivals, seminars, museum and book exhibitions aimed at socio-economic and cultural development of the country; 3) to make appropriate amendments and additions to regulatory legal acts;      4) ensure the formation of the Company's authorized capital; 5) take other measures arising from this Decree.      

3. This Decree shall enter into force from the date of signing.
