On renaming the city of Semipalatinsk in the East Kazakhstan region

Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated June 21, 2007 No. 351

     In accordance with Article 9 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 8, 1993 "On the Administrative-territorial Structure of the Republic of Kazakhstan" and taking into account the opinion of the executive and representative bodies of the East Kazakhstan region, I HEREBY DECREE :

     1. Rename the city of Semipalatinsk in the East Kazakhstan region to the city of Semey.

     2. This Decree shall enter into force from the date of signing.
