I DECREE:
1. To approve the attached draft Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement between the Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization on the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure dated June 7, 2002.
2. This Decree shall enter into force from the date of signing.

DRAFT Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement between the Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization on the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure dated June 7, 2002
The member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization have concluded this Protocol on the following:
Article 1
To make the following amendments to the Agreement between the member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization on the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure dated June 7, 2002 (hereinafter referred to as the Agreement): the third paragraph of Article 11 of the Agreement should read as follows: "The Director is appointed by the Council of Heads of SCO Member States on the recommendation of the Council. The Deputy Directors are appointed and dismissed by the Council on the proposal of the parties to whom these positions are assigned."; Article 21 of the Agreement should be worded as follows:
"Article 21
The official and working languages of the RATS are Russian and Chinese.".
Article 2
This Protocol shall enter into force in accordance with the procedure provided for in article 26 of the Agreement. This Protocol is temporarily applied from the date of its signing. Committed in the city ____________________ 200____ in one original copy in Russian and Chinese, both texts being equally authentic.
