In accordance with Article 2 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 10, 1993 "On the temporary delegation of additional powers to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and heads of local administrations", I DECREE: 1. The Republic of Kazakhstan to accede to the European Agreement concerning the Work of Crews of Vehicles Engaged in International Road Transport (AETR) dated July 1, 1970.     2. This Decree shall enter into force from the date of publication.

The sole purpose of this consolidated text is to facilitate understanding and reading of the AETR Agreement and includes the original Agreement, the original version of the Agreement (E/ECE/811; E/ECE/TRANS/564), amendments 1-4 (E/ECE/811; E/ECE/TRANS/564/Amend.1-4, which entered into force on 3 August 1983, 24 April 1992, 28 February 1995 and 27 February 2004, respectively), the fifth amendment (ECE/TRANS/SC.1/375/Add.1), which entered into force on 16 June 2006, as well as the latest sixth amendment (ECE/TRANS/SC.1/386/Add.1), which entered into force on 20 September 2010.

European Agreement concerning the Work of Crews of Vehicles Engaged in International Road Transport (AETR)

     The Contracting Parties, wishing to contribute to the development and improvement of international road transport of passengers and goods, being convinced of the need to improve road safety, regulate certain working conditions in international road transport enterprises in accordance with the principles of the International Labour Organization and jointly develop certain measures to ensure compliance with such regulations, agreed as follows:
