On the establishment of the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies

Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated June 16, 1993 N 1235

In order to provide predictive and analytical support for the strategic aspects of the domestic and foreign policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan as a sovereign state, I hereby decree:    

1. To establish the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the basis of the Center for Strategic Studies of the Kazakhstan Institute of Management, Economics and Forecasting.    

2. Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Kazakhstan:    

- within one month, resolve issues related to the transfer to the balance of the newly established institute of the necessary part of the premises and material and technical base of the Kazakhstan Institute of Management, Economics and Forecasting.;      

- to consider and resolve the issues of financing the Institute for 1993;      

- to develop and submit for approval the Regulations on the Institute;      

- to implement the necessary organizational measures for the implementation of this Decree.
